Hi all,

I'm looking to purchase a starter decorating tip set. I want something more professional grade with a good variety of tips. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

I find that it is best to purchase tips separately so you don't end up with many you will never use.  A good place to start would be a medium rose tip, leaf tip, star tip, and plain round tip.  Experienced pipers will be able to better advise.

Buying individual tip is better.  You don’t need every single tip in order from 1 thru 199.   Most people can very their squeezing to make a #3 do the same as a 2,3 ,4,5,&6 —maybe more.   It also depends on the type of designs you will be making most.  Little boys b’day?  Classy ladies? Church affairs?  B’cream piped along the lines Betty &I do or awesome scalpted beauties following Sandra’s styles .  The answers to those questions will help you decide which tips are best for you

BTW:  when I started I took Wilton classes and didn’t learn about other brands of all equipment for some time:)   I’m used to what they do, how to use them.  I didn’t get others for years since the Wilton ones last a lifetime:)   Now there are all kinds of unique & different ones available
