Hi I’m new! I thought I’d ask some pros here if anyone has noticed a change in the quality of Imperial Powdred Sugar. I’ve been using it for over 40 years and just in the last few months i’ve noticed it is gritty. It’s not a fluke or the result of improper mixing techniques. You can tell just by rubbing between your thumb and forefinger. It’s very noticeable in simple glazes. Has anyone else who uses this brand noticed this? Does anyone have a go to powdered sugar that’s better? My sugar cookies and I and thank you in advance!

I've never heard of Imperial brand.  I use Domino mostly, but have also used Walmart brand and Food Lion brand, which work equally well.

Since you are new you will not be able to reply to any post so if you want to comment on any post just start a new post referring to that one in the subject line   Examples reply to this one would have a subject line similar to this: imperial sugar continued    After Maybe a month or so suddenly you will be able to reply to any post
