so that’s another whole question — are you a book person or an e-book reader person?

how do you do? no, how do you read?
i read on a kindle

I prefer an actual book when I am home. It is nice to get away from a screen once in a while. But, most of the time I read off my nook. The fact that I can get library books to download to my phone or nook no matter where I am and that I can take unlimited amount of books with me on vacation in one tiny tablet...the convenience can't be beaten.

I am an old stick in the mud, I read real books.

just wait, you guys — you have something to look forward to someday...the selection is endless... you can check out library books on your kindle —just sayin’

I prefer an actual book... the older the edition, the better...
My aunt, about ten years ago, asked my dad if I would like an e-reader of some sort for christmas... He told her no... when she asked why, he said I once said it had to do with the feel and smell of a book...
I know it is just the smell of paper, ink, and probably mold... but I really do prefer books...
And my eyes are rather sensitive to light and most screens are hard on my eyes (even with the blue light filter on)...

I loved my bookstore, all the books, music, gifts and the People and the coffee and snacks — I hear you loud and clear —
just wait...one of these days — and you still have all the books you want of course —
oh and my original kindle was not backlit — you can still get them not backlit —

and my husband and my sister didn’t want one either —
i’m not arguing just explaining why i’m right jk jk jk jk jk jk jk (have you seen that t-shirt?)
don’t mind me (too much)

Haha, I hear you load and clear Kate. Like I said, I am pretty sure I would love it.

I love good ole fashioned paper books. I do have the option to read books on my iPad too, which is probably pretty similar to a kindle. I’ve read several on my iPad. I have a friend who is a voracious reader, and has given me sooooo many books. A whole shelf full. That’s why I haven’t read anything on my iPad for awhile. And I’m with Freckles0829, after being on my iPad/iPhone checking emails, FB, CC etc., I prefer being off the screen. Too much screen time hurts my eyes, and also makes it difficult for me to sleep. Scatters my brain.

Books for me too. I can lose myself in the pages, not so much with a device.

There was an incident early on in e-readers where a book was sold without the licensing having gone through... people bought the book... downloaded it... and then found it missing later... they did all get refunds...
I guess that I feel like if someone wants to take back a book I bought, you need to break into my house and steal it back... lol
