What size tip do you use for the filling dam of icing between layers?

Many people use a coupler w/o a tip but I feel that maker too deep a filling —especially since I used mostly Henry &Henry fruit fillings   I used tip 10 usually It depends on your hand strength  the harder you squeeze the thicker the dam will be

I not only use that big an opening, I go ‘round twice, one on top of the other — I like thick fillings blush

but I mean it depends on how the bag is positioned and how much pressure you use as to how much icing comes out so...
