Hi!  I’m making 3 dozen cupcakes for a friend’s daughter’s birthday.  Her party is on a Sunday but just so happens I have a previously scheduled trip for that weekend and I leave early that Friday am.  I’m planning on baking and decorating the cupcakes on Thurs.  should I leave them at room temp in containers, fridge, or freeze?  If freeze how do you do that for dully decorated cupcakes?  Do you worry about the buttercream sliding off when you thaw them?

Thanks in advance!

Depending on what your decorations are, I would just freeze them...

I freeze my simply decorated ones all the time... mine do not have fondant decor on them though... if yours do, i am not sure...
