Hello, I am wondering if someone would be able to tell me what size board to put this
cupcake bouquet on?
yes probably -- and a method for you be able to tell for yourself is to lay out cupcake wrappers and eyeball the rest ![]()
but you also might want to use two boards so it doesn't flex -- or use thicker foam core board -- just depends on the weight of the cupcakes
Would you happen to know what is the board covered with?
no I don’t know but it could be freezer wrapping paper or parchment —gift wrapping paper is not food safe neither is florist foil so a lot of us do use it but extra caution has to taken that the food is protected from it — so just using food safe paper is easier/better —
I always imagine someone not even involved with the party coming in afterwards to pick up a party goer or a banquet worker — they’re maybe carrying their baby in to wait a minute and maybe they sit down momentarily to wait while their loved one gets their things and gives the baby a swipe of icing from the border of the cake plate — it ALL needs to be healthy for everyone — know what I mean —
so be careful
I've also used wrapping paper, covered with plastic wrap and plastic table clothes, which I didn't like. Most commonly, I cover my board with fondant. Freezer paper sounds like a good idea too.
It looks to me like butchers paper too. I bought contact paper.
I looked it up and this brand is made by Duck and it is food safe. The brand Con-tact is not though.
Sorry I am in able to show a picture of the finished work because the customer came to pick up her cupcakes early and I didn't get a picture.
Your contact paper is pretty and I am sure it made a beautiful board.
