so I got that food sheeter attachment and I cut an apple and it worked brilliantly!! made one long continuous perfectly even sheet of apple -- probably four or five feet long -- then I went to use it again and I lost the food attachment dooey -- just this one little part -- looked through the trash, looked everywhere! dang!

so called kitchenaid today and they are sending the part for free!!!!!!! I LOVE that place!!!

for real, betty!  I mean it's a brand new attachment and I lost the part -- and they're replacing it for free -- who does that?

I think they dropped one thing that I liked, a spatula, it really cleaned out the bowls. It had a white handle  with a clear long swiper head that you could take off (if needed). I checked there site & it wasn't listed, had to order something else. I like to have 2 of something if I use it a lot.

it’s got that little toe on it where you can clean off the beaters —

That's the one I got. I have it in red. I like it but the swiper end isn't a long as my old one.. They are nice spatulas, I like the large handles, easier to grip.

I have one like you are describing, Betty.  It came with the first KitchenAid I ever purchased, which was actually for my mama.  Eventually, I inherited back the mixer and the spatula. Yes, it is a beauty!

laetia and thatcakedude  — everybody can have one hahahahaha and maybe have have some leftover too! ha!

sandra — thanks — yeah the joy in this diet is learning how to cheat successfully :) for example I am an avowed chipaholic — if I make my own I am “cheating successfully”

lynne — yeah — it’s the kitchen aid cutter attachment — it cuts regular potatoes in strips so long I have to cut them to fit them lengthwise in a full sheet pan — kid you not —

and something else I found fascinating is that potatoes when cut that thin and consistent have what appears to be a watermark like you find in good stationary — that repeats itself — idk if I can capture a picture of it but that was strange and cool

I have actually seen the potato water mark, -K8 and it is way cool.  What else have you cut super thin like this?

just the first apple — oh and a sweet potato — those boys are dense — it’s way easier to attach a regular potato — i’m glad you’ve seen that watermark —

and so far I have only used the blade labeled “thick” the other thin blade is for zucchini and yellow squash and less dense veggies — there’s also a noodle blade I haven’t checked out yet

if you love chips like I do — you’ll never be sorry —

but y’know the essential little part I lost and they sent me another one? it got lost in shipping — never arrived — unbelievably they sent me Another one! and even more unbelievable is I found the one I thought I lost!!

it all comes in this nice box where all the pieces fit in just so into this black molded plastic — the little part is also black and although my husband and I both looked for this thing we never saw it sitting right there in the box — total double duh on moi — ha!

but kitchen aid truly rocks!

Oh mercy, do I love chips!  However, finally, after six years, I've finally gotten back to my lifelong, adult weight of 123 pounds and I managed it by not eating carbs and sweets.  I guess I will slowly start to add a few back in, but I know it will always be in moderation if I want to continue to get in my jeans!
