I use a standard decorating frosting (One cup of Crisco to 2 lbs of confectioner sugar)  but I find it is too heavy. I am looking for a crusting decorator frosting that will hold its shape for piping and roses but is light and fluffy. I live in the southeast US where it is very hot and humid, that is why I use the Crisco based frosting. Any recommendations/tips to create a fluffier frosting?

Thanks,

Try this one.  I find it light because of the l o n g slow mixing and it can be made to crust or not.   https://www.cakecentral.com/recipe/22469/2-icing
