There needs to be great care adding the flowers so they don’t touch the cake One way to accomplish that is after the cake is all decorated pipe a big swath of icing to stick the flowers to DO NOT stick the stems into the cake but just sort of lay them in the icing Make sure whoever serves the cake knows to Push that icing swath off so it does not get served! There is a gal in SanDiego who taught us that & she insists ONLY she can serve her cake so it’s done right
