Right out of the package this Wilton black fondant is tearing and sticky!  Need advice!  Is there anything i can do to fix it?

It's coated in white choc. ganache now, can I air brush it black?

thanks!

probably can air brush it in several coats — but about the fondant — it needs to be rolled out some left to air dry and knead it back in — then repeat till it is manageable —

and the air brushing needs to dry between coats too

Ok, I've got several options now, but my Plan A is to get this fondant to work! :)

So, I roll out the fondant and let it dry out and then knead it and repeat if needed?  Is that correct?   thx! K8

yes but you have to tend it carefully — you don’t want it to fully crust over but dry enough so that eventually it will cooperate — I would just roll it some myself and keep doing it — but if you want to fully roll it out I guess it would ‘cure’ faster —

ok wait — it will need to be repeated — it’s a process — all the coloring needs to dry out —

I just rolled it out so it’s still an inch or a few inches thick, let that dry on the outside, knead and definitely repeat many times — don’t let it crust over though and I didn’t use any powder of any kind just air —

Thanks! I tried it for a while, but guess I ran out of patience and added some of the black to some white I had and that worked fine.  Now it's a dark grey and debating if I should buy Wilton spray to spray it black. (wish I had a real airbrushing machine about now!)

My next question is:  If I spray it wth the black Wilton spray and let it dry can I paint with dusts over that?

To your last ?  Yes after it has dried you should be able to dust it   Not so sure about painting but think that’s possible too
