Peel Labels Off Jars, An Easy 'how To'

This little trick is something new that I learned. I've tried it dozens of time now and it works on almost (repeat almost) everything. Plastic jars, glass jars, metal jars, other objects like tool handles for the garden.
Use a normal HAIR DRYER on high heat, blow the edge & corner of the label for about 30 seconds. Then try to peel back the corner. If you can peel it back easily, with all of the glue coming up & staying on the paper label with the jar surface clean; then you have heated the glue enough to remove the label. You are essentially melting the glue.
As you peel back the label, turn it onto itself - glue side to glue side. This given you a little handle to hold onto as you peel, and keeps the label from rolling back onto the jar and re-sticking to the jar. Just keep turning the label onto itself as you slowly HEAT & PEEL the label away.
When you are done it will look like this little Jimmy Sprinke jar that i just completed. Go slow & heat small portions of the label for 30 seconds or so each time & it will peel easily. You'll feel the difference. It doesn't always work, & not always on everything. It is nice to be able to repurpose jars, & be able to clean & sanitize them, (you can't sanitize a jar with a paper label on it) ENJOY !!
