I’m making a paw patrol cake with the characters shields bursting out the top. They will be fondant with edible images on and I want them to be fully edible. Can I coat the wires in something so that the topper can be eaten after the wire is removed? Or should I stick with wooden skewers?

and flavor the fondant with a raspberry oil or any other flavor
