all you would need to do is cut your dowel long enough to fit through the globes up to extend from the bottom board that that cake sits on to the bottom of the next cake up — proportionate in size to the cakes/ globes — you could use styrofoam balls covered with fondant and hollowed our for the dowel to fit through there or any kind of ball —
