I need to make a cake with regular store bought, Betty Crocker type frosting. They do not want the whole thing covered in fondant or buttercream, but I need to attach the fondant name and decorations to the frosting, can that work and how would I do it?

Any icing will work Canned icing gets very soft when stirred:( It would still be usable depending on how big/heavy the deco are You will need to hold them in place for a minute or two till they hold/stick Another option would be to use melted chocolate melts Again would need to be held in place for a minute or two to hold but would be a much stronger hold over time
