I need advice from the Cake Gurus - you. I want to put this design on a 1/4 sheet cake. I did my Google home work and have most of it figured out except the icing. I am not skilled enough to do a fondant yet. What other kind of icing do you think would receive this purple Dragon transfer well? A friend told me to try Marshmallow Fondant and I am looking at recipes for it or to buy it already made. I can't find it at Walmart. This is the design I bought from Amazon. Thanks for any help you might offer.

That type of image will go  nice on a buttercream icing   A good choice would be the recipe “2 of everything “ found in the recipe section of this site   The 1 time I trying to make MMFondant it was very hard on my KA mixer :(

I use Liz Marek's marshmallow fondant all the time.  It is easy to make and use and tastes better than bought fondants.  It does put a lot of stress on the mixer, so the last stage of kneading should be done by hand.  I actually have a 7 quart pro KitchenAid for that very purpose.  It has a very powerful motor and can handle the weight.

As kakeladi said, your image will work equally well on buttercream.
