Hi,

I was üst wondering how far in a advance can I decorate styrofoam "cakes" with fondant without out them looking dry and cracking?  I ask as I'm making my own wedding cake and just want to get it done and to of the way as soon as possible.  I'm getting married at the end of September.

Thanks,

Sharon

You can cover them right now, if you want to, summesunlover.  I've had dummies that have been covered in fondant for years and they still look fine.  If you like, you can put them in a plastic bag to help keep them from drying out a lot, but I think they will be fine just lightly covered to prevent dust.

Yes you can do that now if it’s white   Colors might fade:(   Keeping it in a dark place should help prevent fading
