Has anyone airbrushed an americolor maroon on fondant? Does it look dull or adding more coats of the paint would help. I want to make a wedding cake that is maroon. I tried a coat of airbrush maroon paint on a piece of fondant and it looked dull.

Any recommendations? Thanks

I have not used that color but wonder if adding a spray of pearl dust would help

So far, the only things I've airbrushed are buttercream and modeling chocolate.  The buttercream had a mat finish, the modeling chocolate a bit of a shine.  I have no idea, unless like kakeladi said, do an overspray of a pearl or even dusting it with pearl dust once it has dried.
