I guess there are chalices that have a different color inside, but all of them that I've seen are either gold or silver all over.
choices choices — I agree with all those color choices —
hey I have never poured ganache over rkt that I can remember — so be advised of that — a coat of buttercream wouldn’t hurt to ensure smoothy smoothness — and don’t have the ganache too warm — but still pourable — don’t hesitate to do two coats if necessary — srsly — the modeling choco is a safer bet — I have done that already — works great —
and idk why I even suggested the ganache — I mean it seems like a viable idea but baking is a funny bird — sometimes the simplest easiest thing especially a minor variation — can blow up into a three alarm out of control blaze —
so...
Thanks for all the help. We made the chalice out of rkt, covered in modeling chocolate then fondant and airbrushed bright gold. Woke in middle of night to remember to put cardboard under it before putting it on dowels and cake. The sheet cake was 18x27 so we had to place the host and chalice longways with all the names . Gumpaste lilacs were to be added at the church. The lady was very pleased when she picked the very heavy cake up.
Happy all went well and I am looking forward to seeing it.
