Hi!
I'm reading that a half sheet cake will serve about 30 people. Mine will be 2 layers, though (slightly thinner than the regular thickness of a layer after I level them). Is that still in the same ballpark of serving around 30-40 people or am I going to have a ton of cake left? If I'm expecting 36 people, should I reduce the size to a 2-layer 9x13 cake, instead of a half sheet?
Thank you!
What size is the pan? That’s how you can figure it out Will the cake be 9x13x3” or a true 1/2 sheet of 12x18x4”? Whatever it is just devide ea side by 2 So a 9x13 will serve 24 A 12x16 = 48 The fact it’s 4” tall — 2layers — will allow for smaller cuts/more servings -more like the servings of a wedding cake (1x2x4)
