hello guys, does anyone have any alternative ideas with which to make colourful drips on a cake? i can't get my hands on candy melts where i live, and plain white chocolate is quite pricey for me. I'd like to make other drips that are not just brown chocolate ganache. thanks <3

use a thick glaze made with powdered sugar, milk, lemon juice -- if you want white you could put some titanium dioxide in to make it opaque -- and i say thick but you gotta play with it to get it the right consistency -- and you might need the titanium dioxide in the whole batch depending on how light/dark you want the colors to be

What K8 suggested is basically royal icing.......if you have that on hand just add some liquid to thin it down to drip consistency. Even b'cream can be thinned -- either with liquid OR I melt it in the MW just for a few seconds depending on how much. Watch it closely - you'll see it melt before your very eyes! :) I usually only melt 1/4 to 1/3 cup and then you have to work very quickly as it cools and thickens. Once b'cream is melted it can not be reused for anything so just do a small amount at a time - melting more as needed.

lynnie -- no, there's no eggs in there -- it's just glaze -- sugar and liquid
