I have an order this week. My customer wants to order a dozen cupcakes to pick up Thursday. But the party is Saturday. What should I do to keep the cupcakes fresh. And should she keep them in the fridge or at room temperature? It's vanilla cupcakes with American buttercream.

Oh boy- make them as late as possible on Thursday, I guess...because although I tend to leave my cakes (not the ones for customers) with ABC out on the counter covered for a day or two, she would need to refrigerate them I would say, just to be on the safe side. Then take them out an hour or two before the party so they get back to room temperature.
