Please excuse my silly questions, I’m still learning and am using this site on mobile so it’s weird to search things. Anyway... I have a bunch of cupcakes I am making for a friend that she’s picking up December 23rd. And then on December 25th .... can I just store the cupcakes in a cold room or in the fridge? Or would they be okay just sitting on the counter? They’re just your average cupcakes with Swiss meringue buttercream. I usually just make everything the morning of but I’m running low on time those days so would like to do as much as I can ahead of time. But I want them to taste amazing and fresh! If it’s better to make them the day of I’ll just do that, what do you guys do???? Thanks a bunch !! :)

You don't say when you are expecting to bake them and I take it they are to be served on Dec 25.  . You can bake them ahead (any time from now on) and keep in the frig or cold room - They will keep fresh up to 3 - *maybe* 4 days -  but better yet, freeze them.    I have had trouble w/the liners seperating from the cupcake when I bake ahead but have seen others on here say they don't.
