Hello!

I saw a Pin of a pretty cake with white over-piping, cornelli lace Christmas tree and wording. The tree and writing were on a red background. It didn’t look like naked red velvet cake, it didn’t look like buttercream or fondant. I was thinking I could re-create it, and thought maybe the red top could be a gelatin disc. I think I can figure out how to make that, and it would look nice, be kinda cool to eat, but.....what do you think? Do-able? Do you think I’d be able to pipe the cornelli tree/writing on gelatin? Too wet and slimy for piping???

i would not venture to pipe that on gelatin -- it could be a sieved fruit filling with a skin on it -- but idk

i couldn't get those dots to stay there on gelatin

K8s probably right........don't think you can pipe that delicate design on gelatin.  And she probably is right about the fruit filling.   But then, it could also be fondant well brushed w/powdered colors.
