I have a client that wants this cake for a birthday. Frosting is to be in black with gold border (not metallic gold but sunny gold). I am struggling with what to color the robe and slippers to compliment that. I was thinking either red or deep purple. Chair to be white with gold painted accents. Ideas?

You don't have to worry about colors, the kitties are so adorable they will steal the show anyway! With a black cake and a white chair, you could go with most any color. Greens are a good, complimentary color with gold.
