For those that teach classes - how much do you charge? I was going to start teaching and do an intro to baking/decorating. All I am asking is the student to supply a few icing tips, bench scraper and offset spatula as these they will need at home anyways and cost about $15.00. Everything else including cake and icing I am supplying and a box for them to take their creation home. I anticipate a 3 hours class giving them 1 cake recipe, 2 icing recipes (american and swiss), walking them through how to bake, ice and finish a cake in a simple piped rosette wreath.

The cost to me is the ingredients and time in planning and a kitchen rental/space fee of $40. What would you charge?

I guess it depends upon how much you want to make per hour and what you market will support.
