Hello all! This is my first time posting on here, so here goes!

I’m making a chocolate cake coming up, and my normal chocolate cake calls for buttermilk and I’ve heard that you can make your own non-dairy buttermilk as you would a homemade buttermilk(i use vinegar) but instead I’ll be using almond milk.

So my question here is.. who has made a cake with  vegan buttermilk? How did it turn out? What kind of non-dairy milk did you use?

I’ve made vegan cakes with both soy and almond milks. I added apple cider vinegar. Both worked fine.
