I know Wilton makes a ball cake pan but it’s a 6 in and I’m looking for an 8 in so could I bake a cake in this???I Have A Super Dumb Question? Can I Bake A Cake In This

In fact, I did the same exact thing last night, I've got an 8" chocolate hemisphere in the freezer for a little girl's mushroom cake this coming weekend  :)

Yup!  That's exactly what it's for.  Fat Daddio makes really good pans in my opinion.

That is not a stupid question.  I've used a stainless steel mixing bowl to bake a cake.  Bur as least I did it far enough ahead of time that if it didn't work, I coud buy the right pan I needed.  :) Worked like a charm! Don't ever be afraid to ask a question...I'm sure I have asked some whoppers and always get an answer without someone making me feel like a dunce.

As the others have said, yes you can use it.  And don't ever be afraid to as any ? here.   If you don't know the answer someone most likely will. 

One can bake a cake in *anything*  that can be put into a hot oven be it a bowl, a special pan, or whatever.

Yup.  As Whatthedogate says, that is exactly what that pan is for.  And yeah, Fat Daddio makes excellent pans.
