Hello! 

i am looking to decorate a few dummy cakes in buttercream. Does anyone have a receipe that dosent have to go in the fridge and that is cheaper? And any tips or advice is welcome! ;)

Just a basic powdered sugar+crisco+necessary water works fine.

4 lbs powdered sugar, 4 cups Crisco and 1 cup water. Add water little at time to get the consistency that you want.

Yes, what they said.   I've made dozens like that.  They should last up to 6 months - maybe longer :)      No need to add any flavoring - just an added expense :)
