So I’m new to baking sheet cakes. I normally do round cakes. Would one cake recipe typically make enough to fill a 12x18x2 half sheet pan? Any tips are appreciated.

No.  I used box mixes and that size would use 2 1/2 or 3 mixes.

I use 3 boxes of mix and 4 if the cake is half and half.
