Hi everyone,

Ive made quite a lot of large scale cakes before but for a competition am going to be making a life size person cake. The problem is my car wont be big enough for a life size cake. Would you suggest to transport in pieces and fit together when there or to hire a van.

I have never made anything taller than 3 tiers, but I would go with transporting in pieces and assembling at the venue.  Good luck!  Can't wait to see the finished product.

Can you afford to hire a van the size y ou need?  Even if you do what if the cake falls/brakes apart in transport?  It's probably safer to transport in parts and put together on site - if you have the time and equipment/space to do so.
