Decorating By kstevens Updated 25 May 2018 , 1:49pm by sweettherapy
Opening up another session of FNCC! Everyone is welcome to share what they have been up to this week, post photos of their work, ask for help or provide help if you are able to.
My only baking this week was 3 dozen peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for my nephew. He just moved out on his own and is only 10 minutes away from me so to help him out a bit I gave him coupons for baking and meals by me. He cashed in his cookies of his choice coupon first. Lol
Looking forward to seeing what you have all been up to!
Kelly
The cookies sound delicious and what a thoughtful gift.
i baked two graduation cakes one is for a friend’s nephew who graduated college and loves monster trucks.
The second one is for the high school seniors from church.
Made this for a vintage airplane themed first birthday party. I loved the simplicity of it.
I had 2 cakes that were due this past Thursday for a co-worker. One was a rustic buttercream with pink and purple rosettes, and the other was an all buttercream graduation cap. It was my first attempt, but I think it turned out well. They loved it! I'm working on a Winnie the Pooh cake currently that is due tomorrow. I'll post it once it is finished.
Love everyone's work from this week!
Love all the work, it was my best friends birthday and I made her a unicorn cake and drove 2.5 hours with it, longest I ever drove with a cake. The cake was inspired by a shirt my friend fell in love with
Mine was another graduation cake....although this doesn’t look like a graduation cake at all haha. It’s red velvet with cream cheese smbc.
Hand painted Winnie the Pooh cake I made this weekend. I used used food coloring and vodka and dusted it with cornstarch for the matt finish .
My apologies for being so late in checking back in. I have no idea where the time is going but I think each day passes by a little faster then the last!
@Marian64 great job on the monster truck cake and your second cake turned out great too!
@B.E.Sweetcakes your cakes are very cute!
@thecanadian160 love your Mario cake and how you put the suspenders on the numbers, very clever idea ☺
@GIGGLEBOX2014 great job on both your cakes! Your buttercream grad cap is perfectly smooth.
@sweettherapy what a fun cake design and cute cake pops too!
@Crystal72384 your cake is beautiful! Is the top tier all individual fondant flowers? Love that bottom tier!
@FIRugbyChick adorable Winnie the Pooh cake!
Great work everyone!
@FIRugbyChick I made an almost identical cake on Sunday, but in buttercream! I didn't upload it to this FNCC since it was after Friday. lol. I did post it to my gallery though. lol.
@sweettherapy, I love your pole dancing unicorn! So cute!!
@Crystal72384, are all of the flowers on your top tier individually done or did you use one of those cool molds with the dozens of little flowers all in the one mold? Very cool either way!

Thanks! Yes, they are all individual flowers. I didn’t know they made those molds until I had finished this cake and realized how time consuming it was lol
Thanks everyone! It is way more fun making a cake as a surprise and nobody is telling you exactly how they want it :)
