Hi

A friend has approached me- their father in law owns a water ski centre that has a cafe on site.

hes asked if I would make the cakes for the cafe weekly.

So 3-4 a week- lemon cake, chocolate, carrot etc!

so I'm very excited. But need help/advice!

how do I work out what to charge?

im guessing I need to register a business and get a food hygiene eating too?

Please don't shout at me

Of course a lot will depend on where you/he are located - US?  What state?  What county?  Each will have different rules.  I'm sure you will need to ck w/a health dept or whichever controls 'food service' in your area to find out what you need to do.  As for charging - I never did wholesaling so guess someone else who is finilar w/that needs to help you there.  Good luck.

Yes, you'll need to register and do all the right things. You'll need insurance too and that can be different if you're supplying a cafe rather than just working out of your home kitchen.

This might be a good place to start   :)
