I needed to use 1/2 cup of box cake mix to make some birthday cake macaron filling, and now i'm not sure how to use the rest of the cake mix up.  I'd like to be able to use it for cupcakes or a small cake rather than cookies if that is possible.  Could someone please help me with the amounts of extra ingredients (egg, oil etc) i'd need to make this successful?  I tried to google it, but I can't seem to find any information.

You probably could use this recipe w/o any changes:  https://www.cakecentral.com/recipe/7445/the-original-wasc-cake-recipe    OR you can freeze the dry mix until you need to make a larger sized cake using 1 & 1/2 cake mixes.  Having removed only 1/2 cup should not make any change making it into batter.  If  you really feel the need to add 1/4 cup EA of sugar and flour to it and keep everything else the same.
