Hey

Someone wants a 3 tier cake but only middle tier is actual cake.. Top & bottom are cake dummies. How do I do that? I meant should I just run a middle dowel throughout all 3 tiers? Or should I stack just like 3-tier regular cake? ... Cake needs to drive some 10 mile distance.

TIA

You could run a dowel down through the middle of all three, but personally, I would just stack it and secure the tiers together with royal icing, melted chocolate or buttercream.  Dummies are perfectly flat by nature, making for a more stable base.

BTW, the dummies are sturdy enough to support the real cake and second dummy without any support dowels, as would be used with real cake.
