I'm not sure which forum would be best.

Does anyone print edible image sheets for purchase or know of a reasonably priced supplier?

I'm a pretty good hobby baker, but with just a few cakes a year, I would never purchase an edible ink printer.

I'm making a Harry Potter cake for my son's 10th birthday and was thinking of having the marauders map and maybe a few other things printed.

Thanks!

Our local grocery store and Walmart both will print edible sheets for you.  Just give them the  image you want printed and they charge the same as for any other little cake decoration.

people often say edible printers and they of course mean edible ink printers -- my brother would have a hey day with this -- he was very literal -- so i'm just being silly -- please don't mind me  and aatkt -- we're just being goofy --

@SandraSmiley How quickly is the turn around for Wal-Mart to print an image?

The Walmart in our little town prints it while you stand there and wait, so I guess you would say there is no wait time.

You should probably check with your local store to be sure they have a printer.  I think most of them do now, but just to be safe.

You guys are funny.

Okay, I have a new plan.  I'm going to try and cut a stencil using my electronic cutter.   I can simplify my pattern and then just buy one of those spray color things.

So, what do I need that will cut on a machine?  Food grade, obviously,  but acetate or mylar?

Karen sooooo many are using mylar stencils you can buy at any hobby store - even WalMart has some blanks you can use.   I would not be all that worried about food grade for this application.
