Hey all,

I have a customer who wants me to deliver a cake the night before they actually need it. I am using color-flow transfers on this cake, if they sit on the buttercream overnight, will this cause bleeding?

I know that they shouldn't go in the refrigerator, but can they sit on a defrosted cake for numerous hours?

Thanks in advance!

I have often put color flow decos on b'cream cakes.   As long as they are completely dried there should not be a problem.  OR you could put some little candy or sugar cubes on the back of the item so it does not touch the b'cream.  Here is a very poor pix of one: https://www.cakecentral.com/gallery/i/2222625/fire-dept-christmas    Another idea is to make the decos as 'chocolate flows' instead of using colorflo.  Melt choco and pour it just as you would colorflow.
