I hope I can explain what I'm looking for here.  There is a technique where you layer one design on top of another.  For example, You use a star tip and create a scroll, then pipe over it the same exact way right on top of it. You're building height into your decoration.  What is that called?  Please!

Thanks!

Can the Lambeth Method be done in buttercream?  I know it's originally done in Royal, but if you keep it fairly simple is buttercream an option?

Oh yes Lambeth can be done in b'cream.   Here's a pic of one I did:  https://www.cakecentral.com/gallery/i/2104009/lambeth-practice-cake

kakeladi,  Thank you for posting your picture.  It's beautiful!  I don't want to do something that extreme, but will be trying layered scrolls to give my piping some height and "wow"!  We'll see....

Oh I have an old Lambeth book that is so beautiful to look at.  I still love old school piping.  Eddie Spence style.
