Is there a recipe posted for the WASC DH box mix that has been modified to the change in ounces from the original 18 ounces to the latest reduction to 15.25 ounces? I see a bunch recipes for the WASC but none of them state the ounce size of mix. I have to assume they are all for the 18 ounce box. I know I seen a modified recipe somewhere and I thought I saved it but can’t seem to find it anywhere!

I match the weight -- so if I add 1/5 of another box -- I have enough --

but I have read that tons of people use it the same proportions with the new mixes and it's fine --

I use self rising flour -- it's easier and it puffs it up a bit

I've used the original recipe without conpensating for the weight difference in the mixes and it worked fine.  I've also, and this is what I most commonly do, added enough additional mix to bring it back up to the original weight.  For the big recipe that uses two cake mixes, I add one additional cup of cake mix (from a third box).  This works great, too.  I usually do add the extra cup because I want to cake to be very sturdy.

If you could take the time to read all the replies to the *original* post of my *original* WASC  recipe (expecially those towards the end) you would find I have addressed this matter.  As Sandra said, most often I don't make any changes just use the recipe as posted with the smaller amount of mix.
