Hi,

I have got an order for naked wedding cakes! Their requirements are that the cake should be around 3 ft tall. Also they want a blue ribbon around the cake which should be based on 2nd layer. Please suggest some designs & structures for manufacturing the cake.

3 feet tall?  That's an odd request.  You don't say how many the cake needs to serve........that will have an effect of how many tiers you will need.   If it must be that tall you will have to use some pillars to separate the tiers somewhat like this:  Small Wedding With Stairs on Cake CentralOr more like this:   Roses And Strings on Cake CentralAs for how to decorate:  just lightly coat the cake w/buttercream OR piping gel.  Wrap the ribbon around the one tier and you're through :)

I've never seen a naked or half naked cake that wasn't just a stacked, round tiered cake.  To be three tall, it would require nine, four inch tall tiers.  That is a LOT of cake.
