I'm just wondering if you can substitute was paper for parchment paper to lay a buttercream transfer on? I'm just wondering if the buttercream will stick to the parchment? Thanks in advance!

I have never done that but.......my off-the-cuff thought is go ahead - that's something I would try if I didn'tn have any wax paper on hand. BUT......lightly grease the parchement.

After thought:   parchment will be stiffer therefore harder to get the transfer off of - I'm picturing turnight the figure over onto a cake and pealing the parchment off .  Maybe you have a spatula big enough to slide under it to remover the whole thing in one fell swoop.
