Okay, so i own a little gift store, and i am having trouble with the pricing. right now im only making a few cents profit if i sell a soda can cake or a candy cake. It costs me about 4-5 dollars for sodas or candy, less than 4 for supplies but i usually just sell them for 7 or 8 dollars, should i go up? or just buy in bulk when it comes to the sodas? Thanks for any info
Any time you can buy (and use!) any ingredient do so!! Without more information we really can't help more on pricing. There is SOOOO MUCH that goes into pricing. I suggest you take time to search on this site all the many pricing ?s posted for information. It does sound to me like you are not charging near enough but then we don't know what size the cakes are or your location - just 2 of the many things to consider what pricing.
if these cakes you make are not food -- if they are not something you bake -- then this is actually the wrong forum -- i'm thinking you are making something that looks like a cake but is made from candy or soda cans? not really clear on your meaning -- but this board is for real cakes -- not that yours aren't real -- i mean cakes that are made of cake, cookies, baked goods, cake decorating :)
but i mean i rolled little baby onesies into a cupcake shape and put four of them in a box like they were cupcakes -- but of course they weren't cake -- that's what i mean -- my cupcakes onesies would not be allowed on this board -- and i think i took baby socks and rolled them into "roses" and made a big bouquet -- it was fun
anyway -- charge a lot, gf! you need to make a lot more profit!
no no no i took little disposable baby diapers and rolled them up and made roses out of them - put them on sticks -- stuck them in foam in a flower pot -- was fun and cute
