Hi Everyone,
I think I’ve watched about a million YouTube videos about how to get perfect edges with ganache but every one of them requires putting a cake board on top. Problem is my cake is 24cm round and I can’t get a cake board to fit without having way too much ganache on the sides of my cake.
Someone please tell me what I should do. I need perfect sides!
Also, I’m making a cake for Saturday. Here is Australi it’s Thursday night. I’ve baked my cakes and ganache is in the fridge. I want to have my cake done by tomorrow night. Should I be leaving my ganache to sit overnight before putting on the fondant? I don’t think I’ll be able to. Party is at 4pm. I would’ve had my cake done with ganache tonight but I tried the whole turning the cake upside down to get perfect sides but my bottom layer crumbled so I had to start again.
Send some luck my way
