I looking for a harding buttercream icing recipe. I am trying to make a camo cake for next weekend and I found a tutorial for a camo cake, it was a harding buttercream then they lighting pressed a foam roller over and flatten it and it looked amazing. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Has anyone done a camo cake and can give me advice?

Thanks

You are looking for "crusting" buttercream.

I agree it sounds like you are wanting a crusting b'cream.  Here is one:  https://www.cakecentral.com/recipe/22469/2-icing

If you give us a link to the site you saw we might have other ideas/suggestions

@kakeladi Thanks I will try this recipe. If I am wanting to cover an 8inch cake how much do you suggest I make?

I found the tutorial on Pinterest and when I clicked on it, it redirected me to Cake central. But now I can't find it on cake central.

That reciep will be more than enough to ice & decorate a cake 8x4 (2 layers).   Be sure to review the recipe befor making it.  Be sure to follow the instructions for making a 'crusting' version - at the end of the directions.
