I am doing a local outside fair in September and making dummy cakes for examples. What can i put on the fondant to keep it from getting eaten by bees? Spray shellac? Also i wanted to do one with ombre buttercream (made with shortening and powdered sugar) rosettes. These are just example cakes and i will tossing after. Any advise would be helpful! I also plan to have out samples of my cakes.
