Yes, I can see improvement:)  Your piping & stringwork is good.  I'm sure daughter is going to be over the moon happy w/what you are doing for her:)

LOL - looks like you will join the 'all nighter' club :)  Just work a bit on getting those strings to be exactly the same size - hanging the same depth.  The biggest thing in making strings even is to not drop the tip - don'tdraw them on......pull the tip away from the cake to about 1/2" while squeezing keep it steady as you move across to the next stopping point - don't let that tip droop!  Light pressure will allow the string to drop just right.   As long as the icing is perfectly smooth they will not break.   To insure smooth icing, use a clean/new knee hi stocking.  Put it on your hand like a glove and fill your palm w/b'cream.  Now take the stocking off your hand by turning it inside out (that's the only way I can describe it -  you want the icing  encased within the stocking)) then push the blob of icing through the stocking.  It's fun to watch it muchroom out - soooo many little strings blobed together.

Thank you kakeladi for the advice not sure if I drop tip will see next time and will try new stocking I will de doing fondant with quilt pattern and thinking that will help with even drops , have you used bubble tee straws, there are 150 people invited so I am doing 5 tiers 14"-6" and she will keep 6 inch are the straws strong enough and would I get 3/8 or 1/2 inch they are new to me I seen in a youtube video

Thanks Again

I have not used bubble tee straws as I find regular drink straws work just fine for me.  But.....I hear they are good :)  YES! straws are very, very strong as long as they are inserted into the cake *STRAIGHT*.  That is so important w/any type of dowel.  When I taught classes I would take almost 1/2 a class time to demonstrate how to insert & cut supports.
