Hi there

Easy question..... Accidentally bought light sour cream instead of regular for a WASC cake.  I'm no crutches after knee surgery so I'm looking to not trudge out again

Can that be used interchangeably?

Thanks

Dave

pretty much interchangeable -- if you turn it upside down in the frige overnight you can pour off a bunch of the water -- which would be a plus -- should be fine --

hope you heal fast and are better than ever soon

Agreed!  I don't think the difference in butterfat from regular sour cream and light sour cream would make any difference in the WASC recipe.  The last one I made, I didn't quite have enough sour cream, so used buttermilk to make up the difference and it was fine.

this is a forgiving formula -- and don't overdue it either -- pace yourself -- your recovery is infinitly higher priority than a cake -- stuff it if you need to --

as the others have said, no problem using the light vs full fat sour cream.
