Ok so I have made frosting using instant pudding. BUT this time I grabbed cook and serve instead of instant. Can i still use that in place of the instant and if so how would I make it?

Well I guess it probably depends on the recipe you are using.  I have used cook & instant interchangeable in baking but not frosting so not sure.

I usually mix the instant with some cool whip and other things but last night I did my own thing with the cook and serve- I mixed the dry pudding mix with some shortening, milk and powdered sugar...like a buttercream almost. Turned out great!

So, Heather.73, did you measure it and do you mind sharing exact measurements?
