Hello! I've been using piping bottles for my cookie decorating. However I am having great difficulties while using #1 tips. They keep clogging!! Any tips to prevent this or is this way many use piping bags? Help please :) TIA

I went back to bags after using the bottles, they just didn't work for me, but I keep a tooth pick on hand when my tip gets clogged. I also switched to the PME #1 and haven't had clogging issues lately.

It is a brand of tips. Better quality than Wilton.

Great thanks! Any ideas why they clog, is it something to do with the bottle as opposed to using a bag

I don't think it has to do with either one. When I use my Wilton tips, they clog, no matter how thin my icing is. I've tried straining the icing to make sure there are no weird lumps, and it still happens.

Strain your icing.   If you put a (clean!)  knee hi 'nylon' stocking on your hand, fill w/icing, then turn the stocking inside out as you peel it off your hand.  Now push the icing through the stocking.  It strains out any small lumps and make it perfectd for woking w/those small tips.   Unless Wilton has changed their tips from 20 yrs ago this is what worked for me.
