Different Ways To Price For A Cake And Cupcakes Order, Nothing Specific, More Curiosity!

I just had a quick question about the different ways to price for a cake and cupcakes order... I don't want to know what to price specifically, I have a system for working that out, I'm just curious about the way everyone does their own pricing for this type of order.
If you have a wedding cake and cupcakes for one order, and you charge by the slice for the cake, do you charge the same for each cupcake?
For example, you need cake and cupcakes for 200 people. The cake should feed approximately 100 people and then 100 cupcakes to accompany this cake.
You charge $3.00 a slice for the cake, so $300.00. Do you then charge the same $3.00 per cupcake, to make the price another $300.00? Or would you charge a smaller price for the cupcakes?
Thanks in advance for any insight!

I have a per serving price on cakes which is $4.50 for butter cream and $7.00 for fondant (which is slightly below the brick bakery here). My cupcakes start at $3.50 for basic design and go up if adding fondant details. I don't discount cupcakes if they are also getting cake, I will be paid for all of my work. So if they are getting a butter cream cake to feed 100 and cupcakes for 100 (basic) it's $800.00, and gumpaste flowers etc are add ons and raise the price more.
i would charge my usual price for what was ordered for each of the components -- nothing any different for it being a wedding, office retirement party or casual get together -- just according to what they want -- not according to what it's for
