I just finished icing a 12 inch square cake with buttercream and the one corner is falling.  How do I fix this.  I icing has crusted already.   I think I may have an air bubble underneath the icing.  I was thinking about cutting out a 2 inch piece of the buttercream on each side of the corner and then refilling it. Will this work?  Any suggestions?  Please HELP.

It is going to depend on what you find when you cut off the corner.  What is causing the corner to fall?  Is the cake too moist & 'disolving' or is it just cracking or something else?

I am believe I have air bubbles between the cake and the buttercream.  I plan to use a hot knife.

If it's only an air bubble then just poke the icing w/a toothpick and gently push the icing back into place.
